DAY 577
TODAY, HYDERABAD STOPS ASKING AND STARTS WALKING.
@revanth_anumula blames Kishan Reddy
@kishanreddybjp blames the State.
@KTRBRS blames Revanth Reddy.
And @narendramodi? Silent.
While they point fingers, here is who is actually paying the price:
Taxpayers, funding a project that keeps getting more expensive with every year of delay.
Hyderabad's youth the very engine of this city's growth losing hours every single day that could have built careers, not spent in traffic.
Ambulances, stuck bumper to bumper, carrying patients who cannot afford to wait for politics to finish arguing.
School and college buses, crawling through gridlock morning and evening, stealing childhood hours from thousands of children.
This is not a statistic. This is Hyderabad, every single day.
STOP BLAMING.
START CONSTRUCTION.
*Today, we are not writing another letter. We are walking from Gandhi Statue, Jeedimetla, to the Proposed JBS Metro Hub to put this crisis in front of the people who keep looking away.*
No party symbol.
No political banner.
Just citizens, walking for a Metro that should have been built years ago.
Dear Prime Minister @narendramodi,
The blame game has a hundred players.
The ambulance stuck in traffic has none.
Choose a side.
APPROVE PHASE-II NOW.
RESOLVE IRFC NOW.
START CONSTRUCTION NOW.
Hyderabad is done waiting for the finger-pointing to end. We are walking until the silence does too.
STRONG METRO. STRONG HYDERABAD.

DAY 574
2008: HYDERABAD METRO WAS APPROVED. SO WERE THE DREAMS OF OTHER CITIES WHO HAD ZERO KM THEN. LOOK WHERE THEY ARE NOW.
In 2008, Hyderabad Metro was sanctioned. That same year:
Bengaluru Metro: 0 km. Today: 96+ km operational, heading to 220 km by 2027.
Chennai Metro: 0 km. Today: 54 km operational, expanding to 173 km with Phase-II (₹63,246 Cr, approved 2024).
Mumbai Metro: 0 km. Today: 101 km operational, with Lines 2B, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12 under construction.
Delhi Metro: ~65 km. Today: ~400 km set to become the world's LARGEST single-city Metro network, surpassing New York.
HYDERABAD METRO: Built rapidly to 69 km by 2020. And then NOTHING. No new operational length since 2020. Not one kilometre added in 6 years and no hopes for next 5 years if Phase 2 gets approval today.
Cities that had ZERO Metro when Hyderabad started have since overtaken it by hundreds of kilometres. Cities that started later than us are finishing Phase-II while we are still waiting for Phase-II to be approved.
Since January 2024 alone, the Centre has sanctioned 328.63 km of new Metro nationwide, worth ₹1.59 lakh crore across Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thane, Jaipur, Pune, Lucknow, Noida, Ahmedabad. Hyderabad: 0 km of it.
Even Mauritius, a small island nation, built 13 km of Metro in 24 months funded by India.
Dear Prime Minister @narendramodi,
We don't need more words. Hyderabad needs helping hands, not moving lips.
After 2008, how many new Metro corridors have actually been sanctioned and built for Hyderabad? You don't need a search engine to check. The answer is zero.
RESOLVE THE IRFC ISSUE. APPROVE HYDERABAD METRO PHASE-II. CALL FOR TENDERS. START CONSTRUCTION.
574 days of continuous appeal. Our patience is not weakness. Our persistence is our strength. We will continue until justice is delivered.
STRONG METRO.
STRONG HYDERABAD.
STRONG INDIA.

@HB01876355@sselvan the said road there is no metro proposal as of now. even though it is planned in phase 3 it will take 10+ years from here. still you oppose this under pass? if you commute thru Avatar signal daily you would know the pain
Going to Mumbai from Rajahmundry Airport.
The biggest challenge is getting there. I couldn't find a single APSRTC bus service from Kakinada to Rajahmundry Airport. Despite the airport handling nearly 1 million passengers annually and expanding its capacity, there is still no dedicated public transport from major nearby cities like Kakinada.
Airport infrastructure is improving, but last-mile public connectivity remains poor and needs urgent attention.
A private firm Nayara Energy working for profits can cut the petrol and diesel prices but public companies and government working in public interest can't..
