Couple weeks ago when I was looking for witnesses to the LRT crash off Roper Road, I asked a young woman at the Tim Hortons next door if she saw what happened.
She said yes, she saw it in the news. I said “Oh already? Where?”
“Instagram.”
So many feelings about that answer.
I really hope people can see these unfortunately common verbal/online attacks on journalists as attacks on themselves — an attack on anyone who dares to ask for information, a deflection of accountability
