Overledger Authorise is key in managing CBDC wallets. These CBDCs roam across distinct networks, requiring different signatures whilst being connected to distinct Identity Access Management (IAM) systems.
$QNT
Whilst I am NOT a fan of CBDCs (decentralisation ftw), Iโm not against making profits off the systems ๐ฒQNT is a unique solution, explanation below โฌ๏ธ
There is no next $QNT
I've been seeing mentions of people believing they've found the next potential Quant Network.
Could tokens replicate what QNT did last cycle?
Absolutely.
But fundamentally theres nothing that proves to be the next Quant/Overledger
Let me explain further
There are many interoperability solutions in both the crypto and tech space today.
These range from cross chain bridges, to integrations of third party technologies.
What sets Quant Network apart from the rest isn't exactly how they've enabled interoperability. While the universal agnostic aspects through APIs are key, it's not the key differentiator.
Rather what makes Quant unique to anything else is the lengths they've got to STANDARDIZE DLT interoperability & utility.
Anybody with some decent coding knowledge could code up a bridge for interoperability.
But to be recognized by standard bodies such as ISO, ITU, WEF, INATBA & more as a De Facto standard for DLT is something few can hold up.
This is of course ISO TC 307 & today we've already seen 40+ countries join onboard for the standard.
In fact you could make a case for Quant being inspired by ISO TC 307 itself!
The reason being that Gilbert Verdian had founded this standard during his time in the Australian government healthcare department in 2016-2018.
He grew annoyed at the fact that patient data doesn't interoperate across systems. (Rightfully so)
Meaning the initial goal for this wasn't even for a blockchain standard,
It was just a healthcare database solution.
It just so happens that Gilbert founded this solution at the right time as ISO was looking to begin standardizing blockchain for industry use!
So right off the bat, Quant had eliminated the chances for competition in regards to standard grade solutions.
But as we know they didn't stop there...
After laying the foundations of Overledger they quickly began then standardizing this approach of a new layer for the Internet of Value.
Today we know this as Secure Asset Transfer Protocol.
Both Quant & MIT had coauthored the initial vision alongside names like IBM & Intel.
With SATP as an official IETF WG today & expected delivery in July 2024, things are certainly looking quite bright.
Behind all of this is the perfect orchestration by one man, being Gilbert Verdian.
Not only has he set the standard, both figuratively & literally with TC 307 & SATP.
But Gilbert's CV is something that few can match in the world of crypto.
Having worked with governments & central banks around the world in US/UK/Aus/EU, the path way to adoption through standardization is locked in.
And it's not just Gilbert either, as we know the team also is quite well connected in their own regards.
Andrew Carrier- Ex SWIFT Head of PR
Neil Smit- Ex Comcast CEO & Chair
Guy Dietrich- 26 yrs Morgan Stanley & Rockefeller
Kirat Rawel- Ex Citi/Finastra/Accenture/Santander
Luke Riley- ISO TC 307 subject matter expert
Theres obviously much more to the list, but as we can see few blockchain projects really match the team of expertise that Quant brings.
Hedera & Ripple are two that come to mind, but once again these are working in an indirect relation to the same end goal.
In fact we know that Quant's quite connected with these two through Paolo Tasca & other consortiums.
We've discussed the intangible values of what makes Overledger so unique,
From the standards they've set, to the team they've built it's not exactly something somebody could just replicate even if they tried.
DLT standards are already put in place, that won't be changing anytime soon.
Now lets look at the tangibles, these are all technically attainable by other interoperability solutions, though it's much easier said than done.
The BIS partnership in Project Rosalind is a perfect example of this.
Realistically any crypto solution COULD be used by the BIS for their CBDC pilots... Yet few have been selected.
There are only a handful of DLT networks that are referenced by the BIS & Quant's Overledger is the only non-L1 solution in regards to public DLT projects.
This on it's own speaks volumes.
Now pair this with the fact that Project Rosalind has since inspired various other CBDC frameworks to follow the same model through API gateways.
Not to mention theres some overlap with the intangible values as the BIS & Bank of Korea directly references and uses SATP to enable it's Unified Ledger solution.
Speaking of standards adoption, we've also seen countries such as Canada & EU adopting both TC 307 & SATP.
Once again, national level adoption.
While other crypto solutions are discussing how their solution could help with DeFi, governments are looking at Overledger as a solution to standardize how DLT is used.
Other partnerships such as SIA/Nexi & LACChain also showcase this.
How many crypto focused interoperability solutions have connected to financial infrastructure that connects 500+ banks & is EU's 2nd largest payment service provider only behind SWIFT?
How many crypto focused interoperability solutions are connecting entire continents economies on-chain & building a new currency on DLT?
One overlooked partnership is their integration into AUCloud, this is the Australian governments sovereign cloud infrastructure.
We also know that Standards Australia is the secretariat for overseeing ISO TC 307.
Once again, national level adoption.
The crypto space may not be so fond of Quant due to other shiny narratives.
But one thing remains constant, the highest level of enterprise, business & governments are all paying attention here.
Whether it be Quant directly, ISO TC 307 or SATP... This is where authority is looking at the future of DLT
When we look at Overledger directly... it's hard to deny that their solution is one of a kind.
Yet to me that's not what sets them apart.
Any great coder can build an awesome solution as we've seen in crypto over the years.
But to have it mass adopted, standardized & regulated is something that few can accomplish.
Quant enabled this all to be possible because they laid their groundwork early. The initial goal wasn't to spin up a crypto project.
It was simply to augment the Internet of Value.
Once you stop comparing #Bittensor to crypto projects..
And start comparing its valuation to leading AI companies
You begin to understand just how severly undervalued it is

The supply chain system is an industry that can be heavily disrupted & improved through the power of blockchain technology, great to see things are happening in this space
You have no idea about the paper work involved in supply chains.
Imagine it all automates via smart contracts with legally binding signatures.
These can run their own DLT type fit for their use:
- Farm
- Processing plant
- Transport
- Distribution
- Retail
- Consumer
