20mph and 30kmh limits have existed for 30 years across the whole of Europe (and I include UK in that). The idea that cars are not "designed" for the 20mph or 30km/h limit set to protect vulnerable road users in communities is simply not credible.

So despite representation from a number of Parishioners wanting it black the @CranSissParish made the decision probably based on cost. Lets paint it black as it was and as it should be @CranbrookIron erosion of democracy again!

Members agreed unanimously that the bicycle looked very nice in its current state. The Parish Council had received a request for it to be painted black, however Members felt it would blend into the background and be a less striking gateway to the village if this was undertaken
