HOW LONG WILL AUTHORITIES REMAIN SILENT? INVESTIGATE THE VIRAL MESSAGE
A disturbing message circulating on social media is attributed to Jimmy Rongmei, with the number +91 98638 98894 visible in the circulated screenshot. The message contains alarming language concerning Kuki-Zo civilians, while another circulated post displays material referring to the killing of Kuki women farmers.
If these messages are genuine, why has there been no publicly visible investigation or action against the person identified in the circulation?
The competent authorities should immediately verify:
Jimmy Rongmei — +91 98638 98894
Whether the number is genuinely operated by the person named in the screenshot.
Whether the messages were actually sent or circulated from that number/account.
The original source, date, time and digital metadata of the messages.
Whether the content amounts to threats, incitement, glorification of violence, or another offence.
Whether there is any connection between the sender and any armed organisation.
Whether an FIR or appropriate legal proceeding has been initiated.
A screenshot alone should not be treated as proof of guilt. But neither should a potentially serious message involving threats or violence against civilians simply be ignored. The answer must come through a proper digital investigation.
If the material is authentic and an offence is established, take lawful action against the person responsible. If it is fabricated or falsely attributed to Jimmy Rongmei, establish that through investigation as well.
Why the apparent silence? Why no clear investigation? Why no publicly known action?
The Kuki-Zo community has the right to ask these questions.
No selective justice. No selective investigation. No impunity.
Let the authorities verify the evidence, identify the responsible person, establish the facts and act according to law.

KANGPOKPI, September 20, 2026: The Kuki Inpi Manipur has expressed strong concern over the reported arrest of seven villagers from Kholen Village, including a church leader, by the CRPF in Kangpokpi District.
In a press statement issued on September 20, the organisation condemned what it described as the “arbitrary arrest” of the villagers and demanded their immediate release.
The Kuki Inpi also raised concerns over the reported killing of six Kuki villagers, including two women, and the subsequent death of another woman from her injuries. It called for accountability and an impartial investigation into the incidents.
The organisation further alleged that excessive force was used against civilians during protests, including the reported use of live ammunition and vandalism of vehicles, including one belonging to journalist Kaybie Chongloi.
Kuki Inpi Manipur demanded an investigation into the alleged use of excessive force, appropriate action regarding the detained civilians, and compensation for damaged property.
The organisation reiterated its call for justice, accountability and protection of civilian rights in Kangpokpi District.

Kangpokpi: Tear Gas Used Against Kuki Protesters by Security Forces
Security forces fired tear gas shells to disperse Kuki protesters in Kangpokpi after tensions erupted over the detention of six villagers. Several protesters were injured and taken to a local hospital.
The use of force has raised serious concerns over how minorities in India have been suppressed and tortured.

September 15 2026 A Kuki Girls was daylight shoot dead by NSCIM So called Tangkhul Millitant only Tangkhul Cannibal mindset can do these types of Crime..
IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION AND ARREST IF THE VIRAL MESSAGE IS AUTHENTIC
A disturbing screenshot circulating on social media appears to contain a message stating “We killed only Kuki refugee girl”, alongside material celebrating or referring to the killing of Kuki women. The screenshot also displays a phone number and the name “Athuan Panmei.”
This material must not be ignored.
The killing of two Kuki-Zo women at Leisangphai on 15 September has been reported by multiple outlets. Police and other reports have not publicly established the perpetrators, while Kuki organisations have alleged NSCN-IM and ZUF(K) involvement.
If the person behind the viral message is genuinely claiming responsibility for killing or encouraging violence against Kuki civilians, the authorities should immediately preserve the original digital evidence, trace the account/number, question the person concerned and take appropriate legal action if the investigation establishes an offence.
The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Section 196 covers certain communications or acts that promote enmity, hatred or ill-will between communities and disturb or are likely to disturb public tranquillity. Whether that provision or any other offence applies must be determined by law-enforcement authorities after examining the complete context and evidence.
The alleged involvement of NSCN-IM, ZUF(K), the NSCN eastern flank or any Myanmar-based armed group in attacks must likewise be investigated and established through evidence—not simply assumed from social-media posts.
OUR DEMAND IS CLEAR:
Investigate the viral message immediately.
Preserve the original chats, screenshots, account information and metadata.
Identify the person responsible.
Question and arrest the suspect if sufficient evidence establishes an offence.
Investigate the killings of the two Kuki-Zo women independently and impartially.
Protect vulnerable villages and civilians from further attacks.
The phone number visible in the screenshot should be submitted privately to the police/cybercrime authorities rather than publicly reposted, to preserve evidence and avoid misidentification or harassment. India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal accepts reports concerning online and social-media crimes and also provides a facility to report suspicious phone numbers and social-media identifiers.
No civilian killing should be celebrated.
No threat or admission of violence should be ignored.
Every allegation must be investigated.
Every genuine perpetrator must face the law.
