@HUGASTUDIO It is certainly ripe material for a game about making games at Sega.
Also, I've been checking the work from people who are translating the game into English, and this was my favorite joke so far. It's hard to keep track of all of these games!
@HUGASTUDIO I've been playing SGGG a lot and have noticed the large presence Shenmue has despite never being mentioned by name. The R&D B story is a Shenmue allegory. The "7 billion yen?" taunt is a reference to Shenmue's budget, as is the increased SGGG budget on the 3rd play.
I've also read that part of the SGGG pitch to Sega was "this will cost 1% of Shenmue to make."
Was SGGG designed in part to be the "anti-Shenmue"? How heavily did Shenmue weigh on the minds of your coworkers at Sega at the time?
@zolge1 Hello. I'm curious about some hidden content in SGGG. By editing memory, I've found some developer characters and games that can't normally be seen. Is there a hidden way to enable these (like debug mode) or were they completely disabled in the retail release?
@AmeliaBright_ I love playing on CRTs, but CRT filters always make me feel like I'm looking at a photo of a CRT or an artist's rendering of a CRT, not an actual CRT.
When playing retro on flatscreens, I usually just prefer straight-up sharp unfiltered pixels.
It is a bigger political statement to continue to post on Twitter than it would be to leave Twitter.
If your livelihood is not dependent on social media outreach, then at this point I don't know what you're doing here.
You think at this point there'd be a singe mainstream story about the fact that the world's richest man is poisoning the air of Black communities in Memphis so that he could create a Hitler robot.
Grok is calling itself MechaHitler now
@ExxistanceDC Randomly searched Segagaga, came across your WIP project.
Was wondering if there's any chance I could be a tester for it when you're ready to share outside of your core group. I'm pretty familiar with the game and still have a 100% save lying around plus a GDEMU.
I also assume that you've already got a handle on the actual game yourself, but if you never looked it up, the "Segagaga Perfect File" is a pretty comprehensive official guide for it. Might be useful to track down if you don't already have it.
I was part of what I believe was the first doomed translation project for this title, over 15 years ago. Can't say that I can provide much in the way of useful technical contributions, 'cause if that was the case, the first project might not have failed, but I thought I'd inquire
@jchensor I wonder how much of GameFAQs' longevity is owed to them sticking to their guns wrt plaintext uploads. You'd expect it to be buried with the rest of web 1.0, but the fact that the whole website can fit on an old SD card means there isn't even much cost to save by shuttering it.
@VerizonSupport Thank you for the answer.
I would also like to give this device to a friend. Would they have any problem setting up their own account/plan on this device? Is there anything that I need to do on my end to deactivate/transfer service?
@VerizonSupport Anyone there who can help me with an old Jetpack MiFi 5510L? I'm trying to see if it's still usable, but the account links provided by the device itself are outdated/broken, and I can't recover my account info on the website because it's tied to an old address.
@Icege@FemShepFGC I'm not gonna say that some one-off throwaway tweet is a big deal, but there's pretty much no way to use this tech that doesn't make the user look like a tool.
