So everything about #supergirl was better than Superman. Very Snyder coded to the max. The use of her powers and her laser eyes were amazing. Story was great for a real introduction and just felt fulfilled. 9/10

On behalf of all men, I'd like to apologize to Milly Alcock for my gender being the absolute worst to her.
Sounds like you're super in this movie, girl. Can't wait.
@JoshDenofNerds People need to stop listening to talking internet heads and go see this movie or any other movie for themselves. Stop allowing opinions ruin your experience. Don’t be sheep
I disagree with Variety’s Supergirl review so much, I actually find parts of it offensive. It’s the first time I’ve never been able to finish reading a movie review because I found it so condescending and misguided.
The histrionics of aging critics needs to be studied in the future. I grew up reading Gleiberman and respected the hell out of his takes and analysis. But he's a dinosaur critic now and I wonder if some of these dinosaur critics resort to histrionic reviews like this just to get clicks and engagement so they can keep their jobs.
#Supergirl wasn't a great script at all (perhaps because they cut 25 minutes out of the film), but the worst one he can remember??? The Marvels. Eternals, Morbius, all the Venom movies (yes, all of them), Shazam 2, Wonder Woman '84, Black Adam (I mean, holy fuck!), Kraven and MaDUMB Web are sitting right there! Nonsense stuff here from Owen.
After Batgirl (2022) was canceled, director Bilall Fallah says co-director Adil El Arbi told him to "shoot everything on your phone" before the footage vanished.
By the time he checked the server, he had already been blocked by the studio, "everything was gone" — including the scenes featuring Michael Keaton's Batman.
Adding to the frustration, Brendan Fraser who was cast as the villain Firefly, later said the film's Gotham, created using Glasgow, was one of the best versions of the city he'd ever seen.
It was Warner Bros. Discovery that made the unprecedented decision to shelve the completed $90 million Batgirl movie as a tax write-off in August 2022.
Both directors expressed extreme frustration that they couldn't even keep the rare scenes they had shot featuring Michael Keaton as Batman, which were permanently lost to them.
