Curious about advanced functional programming techniques? Sixty North have just published a free course on Tubetrain, ‘Understanding Transducers Through Python’, which explains a super-interesting technique from the Clojure language by implementing it from scratch, in Python.
We've got another great course on Tubetrain. This time @robsmallshire explores the concept of "transducers" using Python. And it's totally free!

If you want to generate complex, data-driven lists, tables, or maybe just embed a constant value taken from your Python source code into your Sphinx documentation, you should check out our Added Value extension for Sphinx.

Today at @sixty_north we're ensemble programming the writing of a program which reads a program which writes programs so we can automatically write a new program which writes programs to replace the original programs written by the program writer.
Delighted to have our cadastral search tool to provide land ownership maps from Norwegian government data. So much easier to find and talk to the people potentially affected by our exploration.
Thanks to Ekaterina & the team @sixty_north
A pleasing view as we look back on @erikengheim’s three years with @sixty_north. Our team enjoyed a long farewell lunch together in Oslo, and we wish him well in his future endeavours in coding and all besides.
@robsmallshire The Core Python series on PluralSight is really good by the way.
Don't get it confused with Wesley Chun's great Core Python series of books though. Those are amazing too!

These courses are among the very best trainings I've ever consumed. It's not easy to be both detailed and succinct at the same time, but they manage it aptly.
