@syahredzan I believe some of the confusion stems from how the schedule is laid out. Long subheading categories (cyan), like the one for ikan kembung, make it seem like all listed species will be affected, when only herring (red) is subject to SST expansion.

@NewsBFM These numbers are from a Durex study conducted in 2012. Why is BFM treating this like its news? In fact, Durex did a survey last year that found that Malaysian youths are having their first sexual experience at a younger age, so this picture is outdated.

Vendors have to buy stock, pay site rental, etc. Those are upfront expenses, so vendors are now tens of thousands of ringgit out of pocket. As for what I expect the government to do, how about don't cancel the whole festival because of one bad act.
