I was honoured to join over 11,000 people at Plascon India Day 2026 organised by the Indian Association Uganda under Chairman @PareshMehtaUG .

Beyond the fantastic live concert, this was for a noble cause — supporting over 160 heart surgeries for children and 1,000 cataract surgeries for Ugandans.

I commend the Indian community in Uganda for their contribution to our health sector and for deepening the Uganda-India friendship.

Today, I commissioned new structures at Butebo Health Centre IV in Butebo District. They include an Outpatient Department block, staff quarters, and wards.

I also launched the Dr. Musenero Mini Industrial Park, which is expected to support farmers in adding value to crops such as matooke, coffee, and cocoa.

Hon. Ministers @KamuntuProf ,@BalaamBarugahar , @HonOkaasai, @LydiaWanyoto_M , @PNyamutoro and I later attended a thanksgiving ceremony for @DrMusenero , Minister of @MEMD_Uganda .

This afternoon, Hon. @SamEngola3 closed the Donor Conference on Anticipatory Action at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe.

The conference brought together representatives from @GovUganda, development partners, United Nations agencies, diplomats, and the private sector to discuss how to institutionalise anticipatory action and shift from responding to disasters after they occur to taking early, forecast-based action before disasters strike.

Today, I represented H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni at the 12th coronation anniversary of the Kyabazinga of Busoga His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV in Mayuge District.

The President congratulated the Kyabazinga and the people of Busoga on the coronation anniversary. He thanked the Kyabazinga for championing peace, unity and development across Busoga sub-region.

The President also commended the cultural institution for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Government. He said the Government remains committed to working with the institution to promote development in Busoga. @KingNadiopeIV @Busoga_Kingdom

Today, I launched the new Presidential Advisory Committee on Budget (PACOB) @OPMUganda

PACOB is a strategic body established by H.E. the President @KagutaMuseveni to guide national budget formulation and ensure that public resources are effectively utilized to realize our national development goals.

I congratulate the new committee members on their appointment and wish them success during the three-year tenure.

She emphasised the need to prioritise and protect mental health amid the growing burden of mental health challenges among Ugandans, both children and adults.

@HonByamukama has directed engineers to investigate concerns raised over ongoing works on the Biiso Road, including the quantities of materials used, payments made and the basis for the works undertaken.

He directed that Project Affected Persons (PAPs) be paid within one month and that concerns over damage to homes and property be addressed.

The Minister further directed that the affected communities be given immediate access to clean water, stressing that the intervention should provide a direct water supply rather than boreholes.
