@joncluett As a Lethbridge area family doc (and woman) I can attest Dr Cluett is not exaggerating in the slightest. Thank you for getting this the media attention it deserves. Please for the love of all things holy not reelect the UCP. #ableg
Dear Danielle Smith:
I’m a Calgary OBGYN covering labour and delivery in Lethbridge today. This is a full-blown women’s health crisis and it’s about time you treat it as such.
Feel free to call our unit. I’m working for 48hrs. Happy to discuss strategies #ableg
@brandicarlile Hello you wonderful human being...just a suggestion but I would love to see you cover 'Waterbound' by Dirk Powell. Love the Michael McGoldrick version as well but you would take it to another level =)
@elsthomson Heart-sink announcement. Could there possibly me more ignorance and inaccuracies in one announcement? Very very sad for our province; another step back into the dark ages.
If you're sitting in Ottawa, Coutts, Windsor, or any other major highway, you can call yourself something, but you sound like a total snowflake calling yourself a freedom fighter. Our veterans are rolling in their graves.
Sending these thoughts out into the universe because it's bugging me that I'm not hearing this perspective elsewhere:
Irrespective of opinions on politics, reality of covid, wisdom of vaccine mandates, etc, are we really expected to believe this protest is about freedom?
@parboora I saw this too and thought WTF. On the front page, too. What an embarrassing excuse for journalism. They need to shut down some of the ignorant commenting online as well.
This is completely false, Sheldon.
Between September 2020 and April 2021, Lethbridge saw 33 drug-related deaths.
The average number of deaths during the same period over the previous 4 years was 17.
We’ve seen double the number of deaths since the SCS closed.

April 2021 was the worst April ever for fatal ODs in Alberta. Same with March 2021, February 2021 and January 2021. All by a longshot.
For the people stuck in this 7+ year old forgotten public health emergency, I wonder how all the "Best Summer Ever" fanfare feels.
#GettingToTomorrow brings diverse groups from all areas of society together to collaborate/find shared understanding of overdose crisis so we can move towards solutions together & help us see we all want the same thing & have more in common than we think. https://t.co/NFSa1TVclP
