@poglejaydee@LeeAndersonMP_ Not true. I live in east Rainton which is part of that ward and there’s been a lot of new build middle class housing. The traditional population of Hetton was mining heritage but no longer. You are correct about the mainly white population though.
@DanielKebedeNEU I’ve never known the like! I really thought Labour would help sort out education but this on top of the new ofsted framework just shows they don’t care about the profession.
@MrHtheteacher I host a ‘look and lunch’ each Friday. Starts at 11:15am with a full tour and all classes then in the hall for lunch with their children and the kids bring their books for parents to look at. I’m around at all times so safeguarding is ok.
@CatMcKinnell @SCHOOLSNE Was really good to hear you speak, your passion to put schools and education first really came through. Totally agree with the review of the one word judgements re ofsted reports too!
@TheHeadsOffice @Headteacherchat That means you base your judgement on a one day snapshot rather than potential appointing someone you’ve known over a prolonged period of time.
The children in our Addition Resource Centre (ARC) KS2 have settled in beautifully. They are bonding with each other and making new friends, and settling into West Boldon life and routines. A welcome addition to our school community.
School is a hive of activity in the summer holidays getting ready for next year. Solar panels are getting fitted! These have been provided by South Tyneside council and will save the school approximately £5000 a year, this is along with the obvious environmental benefits.
@Jesstho@RogersHistory If parents ever moan about an individual staff member I phone them personally and make them aware if our parental code of conduct and ask them to remove and come in to discuss issues face to face. Always worked so far. Words then gets around that we are going to find out and ring
A huge thank you to Father Keith Walker from the parishes of St Oswald’s, St Gregory’s and Sacred Heart Church Communities for their huge donation of £500 yesterday. He presented it to our school council members and will be distributed to people struggling in our community.
They are a great group of children who have matured into fabulous young adults. We’ve got lots of fun activities lined up, starting with pizzas this afternoon and Marine Park on Monday. Give them all a hug, high five or words of praise when you see them as they fully deserve it!
Well that’s another year of SATs over and we can’t say how proud we are of these group of children. Their attitude this week, this year and through their time in primary has been amazing. They are a great group of children who have matured into fabulous young adults. #SATs
