@Kris_Willis He's pretty durable. That's helpful. If you're slotting him in as your #3/4 with Morton, that looks like a decent rotation for '24. For '25 and beyond, I guess we'd be hoping AJSS or Waldrep becomes a #2...

@b_outliers I like Burnes, but that makes next winter pretty precarious. Ideally, Wright is back. But, if Fried and Burnes walk and Morton retires... Yikes. Feels like we need more than one year of team control.

@DOBrienATL I don't think there's a good way to fix the small vs. large sample problem that is 3/5/7 vs. 162. I think MLB should lean in. Two separate champs: Reg. Season and World Series. Makes sense with a balanced schedule. It's weird, but does make sense in a way. Actually traditional.

Division titles are nice and all, but as we move towards a more balanced schedule, it seems conceivable we could fairly crown a regular season champ (like EPL) and try to give it as much weight as the WS Championship (trophy, banner, etc). Thoughts?

Admittedly, I'm a broken Braves fan. But, also, I'm curious if there's a way we can better celebrate regular season success in addition to the playoff success in a way that makes the 162 grind worth it for more than just the most committed fans. Might be impossible...

@BMcCarthy32 💯! It just felt like he wanted to cast borderline racist aspersions at an obviously frustrated player for refusing to talk to him. No one has ever claimed Acuña is a clubhouse leader. He's the catalyst for the offense and he failed at THAT this series. He was pissed.

@thefulton108 Was just saying this to my Dad. Some of these pundit picks are getting too cute. Yes, our pitching situation isn't ideal, but we won 104 games with Fried and Wright on the shelf for 3+ months. The offense is in the conversation for the best of all time... if we win, that's how.
