@n_nutzilla@JohnStolnis That only matters for cash spending. The tax dollar is the AAV of the contract. The only way you lower that number is by using deferrals (AAV for tax purposes will just be the NPV of all payments and then when you start paying deferrals that money hits the tax number).
@PhilaFanCentral At the time I absolutely didn't care. Currently I'm absolutely not a fan. He won't have the job next year. Figure out how to win in spite of him.
@DanTheFlyeraFan The Stars are probably gonna have around $13M in space. We're going to have over double that. Do the funny thing Briere. Who cares about Dallas anyways.
@PapaFlyers Unless we're swinging a big trade (Pettersson) today then this year's cap flat out doesn't matter. It's all about maximizing the 2025 summer space to make some real swings.
Assuming Laughton and Risto are gone today the Flyers are going to have an insane amount of cap space this summer. Sure, we gotta fill out some pieces but they can make multiple high dollar swings on trades or RFAs for top pair d-men and most importantly 1C's
1000%. You gave up a 3rd Round pick for 19 catches and a grand total of 200 yards. You got finessed. Regardless of how your season ended. Go talk ball with someone on your IQ level.
@AidanDoc__ @Ezsilk32 Horford also didn't seem to try at all in Philly and Embiid hated playing with him. Al being on the roster made Joel hate basketball. That contract was a mistake that never should've been given in the first place.
