India showing once again why they are such a difficult team to play against in home conditions. Ashwin and Jadeja have 6000+ runs and 800+ wickets between them. Such a combination is available very very rarely in test cricket.

🧵A thread that includes the epic songs Mark Knopfler created.

On this day, in 1949, a child was born, in Glasgow, Scotland. His name is called Mark and surname is Knopfler. A name that you can easily remember.

Mark was a different child back then. He always loved music. For more than 45 years, he has been leaving marks all over the world. However, his marks were all about notes. The ones you know like E, D, A, or G minor. Whatever you choose.

His note choices were different than the others. Somehow all the notes he chose sounded completely different. Let me give you an example.

Back in 1978, a debut album was released, called Dire Straits. That debut album's songs were also debut songs. A song can be a hit even if it is a debut one. However, Mark's one of the debut songs, named Sultans of Swing, became an eternal hit.

In 1978, it sounded like nothing else has ever been played in the world. Today, years passed, no songs still sound like Sultans of Swing. It was and is just different.

Mark and his friends called themselves Dire Straits. There was a reason for this. They were simply in desperate situation financially and they chose this name to be called. Dire. Straits.

That band and Mark's notes were different. Songs like Money for Nothing, Brothers In Arms, Romeo and Juliet, So Far Away, Telegraph Road, and Sultans of Swing came out of Mark's finger tips.

You know what? Notes were not all the diamonds in Mark's life.
When he first got that guitar in his hand, he could not afford an amplifier to play. So he decided to play an electric-guitar with his hands. He played it like a classical one.

There Mark left another mark for us. His notes and playing style was the thing that makes him different than the others.
In 2024, many people including myself, still admire his playing style and note choices.

You do, don't you?

Let's celebrate the legend's 75th birthday all together.
Happy birthday Mark Knopfler🎉
Thanks for every single note that you played for us with your finger tips.
