ITAR/EAR includes Permanent Residents and some others statuses under the classification they gave.
I do think it could, but, probably siloed into government-centric work as with other companies. I’d be shocked if this wasn’t already the case. If it pans out that way then the one shift I can imagine is from governments dealing primarily with corps like Anthropic or OpenAI, towards multi-national programs like Artemis, JSF, or to use a NATO example, MRTT-C.
@jacksonhvisuals@mweinbach Sometimes it really feels like the US and PRC governments are converging into two flavours of the same pseudo-corporatist/socialist when they feel like it authoritarian capitalism.
I honestly thought the EU would have done something silly first but there you go.
The government being too stupid to understand how AI actually works is going to be a massive problem going forward now that they're paying attention.
The safeguards were absurdly robust, to the point where they over-compensated to ensure it was safe.
And it didn't matter.
@Cheaptarts@atxREpodcast@clawrence Yep…the common thing I’ve seen is running the extra panel and having washer/dryer directly along from it in the garage.
We had a 90s home in Houston that had the same, but it was for power tools (original owner did wood working).
@BocaBola_ It partially depends on if you have any long runs. Would probably do a mix of 6, 6a depending on pricing.
5e on long runs pushing higher speeds is not a great plan.
I agree in the sense that in the right moment or use case, it really can feel like magic, or something that just fits into your life.
But, like a BBS in the 90s or early desktop systems in the 60s into the 70s. It’s just too clunky and when the Wizard of Oz curtain falls…well yeah.
It’ll be quite something once things start to mature. I suspect some existing folks in the space won’t exist, probably at least one big player to come.
@uttam_singhk@felixrieseberg Doesn’t seem to be a big enough improvement outside of a few specific areas given the 2x token use vs the already quite hungry Opus.
@Strangeland_Elf Because manufacturing outrage was the goal of everyone involved. The administration, and a key group of those that oppose them.
It’s beyond yawn worthy at this point. Just govern the damn country.
@HunterBiden@DeniseHenwood@blueeyedblue_47@KarolineGosling@JohnFHenwood I think people really underestimate nervous system depressants when things get out of balance, let alone the addiction.
Xanax, Ambien and so on too.
You did some crazy shit man, but I respect anyone who fights through that journey out of it.
@data_atx@brintdavy@CivicMediaUS Of the big boys, I’m most fond of AMC locations. Usually for Dolby Cinema in lieu of proper IMAX.
The one near me at Barton Creek mall is…good enough.
I do find myself back at Alamo sometimes, mostly for the Barco HDR showings. But I don’t eat anymore, maybe a drink.
@JenRobichaux It’s kind of crazy to see this when you have some other cities/states rope in folks like IDEO for a full cohesive brand redo for no more money.
And speaking from experience, that sometimes includes everything down to a Storybook component library, high level website redo.
@MatthewBetley Watch the first two seasons, maybe Ep 5 onwards of book of boba fett.
The film is at least pretty, so I’d take that over S3. You wouldn’t even notice anyway.
@memeticsisyphus Rural central Texas is where I discovered the trans MAGA flag + LGBT Gadsden + local union flag combo.
I’ve since been informed this is quite a large pro gun group, so there ya go.
I have to say, it really felt like all the best parts of that film had ‘Favreau whimsey’ all over them rather than anything Filoni brought character or universe wise. Some of the puppet scenes in the forest were flat out incredible to look at. And the stop motion too!
It’s a shame about the rest of the film felt like a smushed together 3-4 parter, and not even one that was that interesting.
@octal There just aren’t enough of the Tesla ones around. Not to mention the daft pickup points sometimes.
I sure do see the Cybercab test vehicles a bunch though.
Now, getting a Waymo is easy enough in central/central-north Austin, or down toward Zilker etc.
