TFW you buy tickets through @Twickets , the platform @RobertSmith tweeted was legit, and STILL get told there’s no record of your tickets for @thecure show. Thanks @Ticketmaster. I’ll see you in hell.
Update: booked on flight through Phoenix with a 12 hour layover. That flight canceled. Standby on another flight to Phoenix. That one delayed til 12:30am. Still on hold (2 1/2 hours) but left the line to sit down and charge phone.
Tarmac ~3 hrs, made it to conn flight 10min b4 departure but gate closed, won’t let me on, then that flight is delayed more & sits for another hour. App fails. Standing in 200-person line while on hold 90min so far. Boo @AmericanAir ! No idea when I’ll get home to hug my kid.
@annnwallace @cnolke @ambermilavec 1 in the past year, but it’s the only one for the past 12 years, unless you count free ones I went to on my own time, not affiliated with work.
Women in Tech, Impostor Syndrome don't belong in your lives. I rapped about it at #wecode2019, a women's hackathon: https://t.co/O2RK1A6Gli Share with everyone! We all know someone who needs to hear this.
Loved “Career advice for architects” by @trisha_gee. Emphasizing the positive cycle of soft skills, and pointing out the pitfall that if you’re good at nontechnical you might get moved away from the technical— especially women. Yep. Push back! #OReillySACon
Incremental Architecture session with @allenholub was full of practical methods, ideas, and fun examples to help drive his points home. Good stuff at #OReillySACon
I’m excited to be at #OReillySACon this week. First session, Decentralized Systems, has me thinking about democracy and tech. While I appreciate the value of making things open, we have a long way to go before this approaches truth in reality.
