I'll admit it: For the first 10 years of my career, I thought tests were a waste of time.
Now I realize tests *save* me time.
How tests help:
✅ Run the app for me
✅ Improve my designs
✅ Protect me from rework
✅ Automate repeated checks
✅ Document my intent for others
A school superintendent said something profound in his address cancelling school for the next 3 weeks. He said: In the end, it will be impossible to know if we overreacted or did too much, but it will be QUITE apparent if we under reacted or did too little.

two claims:
- the most obvious way to help an engineering team launch the right features fast is by fixing processes, not writing code
- when women/URMs fix processes, it is often seen as a reason they are not a high performer and/or lack technical skills

2. It's easier to switch between a shorter tab list
3. Can switch windows to change focus
4. Closing the window closes all that topic's tabs when done

Never rely on your co-workers or QA staff to find bugs in your code. Write and test your code as though it's going to production without another set of eyes to assure its quality.
