I'm being rough here, but at some point the Biden offer to Dems changed from "I'll end the Trump era and pass the torch" to carving out a place in history for the Bidens. This including undermining his veep in the press, pumping donors for a 2nd term campaign he wasn't competent to run and win, etc etc.
The chance for a Biden legacy that Dems would be proud of came and went. Of course his family is angry about how they were treated. But what was their deal with Dem voters? To "restore the soul of America" and end the Trump era? Or to get two terms for Joe and let Hunter off the hook?
Cabo Verde holding the eventual finalists to a stalemate and going life and death with 1 half of the other semi final is an achievement that gets better by the day.

Can you imagine being an Irish monk illuminating manuscripts on a soggy little island and all of a sudden a few dozen of these guys show up on boats that look like dragons? Must’ve been awful.
