I am genuinely tired. Every single transfer window, Arsenal fans get their hopes up, and every single time, the club moves like they are negotiating peace treaties instead of football transfers. We needed a squad boost in the summer and January, yet here we are again, watching other clubs handle their business with efficiency while we sit on our hands.

How do you go from finishing second in back-to-back seasons, clearly needing to level up, and then do... this? The same club that needed to raise their game thought about bringing in injury-prone Calafiori, washed Sterling that Chelsea does not even want, and Neto, who is calculating his pension?

You are telling me Arsenal, with all their scouting and resources, cannot find quality players? Look at what other clubs are doing. They are moving smart and fast, securing signings while Arsenal drags out every single deal. Even Leipzig went out and locked in Xavi Simons. Meanwhile, we were apparently considering Isak, Sesko, Watkins and Vlahovic but signed nobody.

If there is no money, then use scouts like Brighton or Dortmund do. If we need cash, sell someone like Martinelli or Trossard to Saudi and reinvest properly. But no, Arsenal just complicates everything.

Arteta is a great manager, but the people behind him? Awful. No sporting director for how long now? A critical season with City looking weaker than usual, and we had the chance to reinforce and really go for it – and we just... did not.

Man City sorts out their business early. Aston Villa moves fast. Chelsea, for all their chaos, still gets deals done. Arsenal? Every transfer is an opera, with a three-act negotiation where we lowball, delay, then overpay or miss out entirely.

If Arsenal does not want to behave like a big club, then fine – at least act smart like Brighton, Dortmund, or RB Leipzig. Scout properly. Find hidden gems. Build a squad without spending £80M every time. But instead, we get stuck between trying to act like a big club and moving like amateurs.

It is embarrassing, it is frustrating, and it is unnecessary. Every single season, we talk about how Arsenal needs depth, but we end up one or two injuries away from disaster. The January window was the perfect chance to fix that, and they bottled it.

If this team does not want to get serious, then we might as well pack it in and prepare for another season of "so close but not quite."
