NEW CLASS ALERT!
AI is already becoming part of everyday planning work across the public sector - often before agencies have developed clear governance, internal guidance, or implementation strategies.
We’re launching a new live Planetizen Courses class designed specifically for planning professionals and public-sector teams navigating AI adoption responsibly.
AI Readiness for Planning Agencies - Led by Tom Sanchez is a 6-week course focused on practical implementation, organizational readiness, governance frameworks, and planning-specific AI workflows.
Enrollment for the inaugural cohort is now open: https://t.co/H7L0xr1WBz

@TommyBeer How does this compare to games with and without Mitch both years? Minutes prob don’t change much but I wonder how much of the other improvement is because Mitch played 60 games this year and 17 last year (and was limited when he first came back)
@CTW_SMB Try https://t.co/gSsAK1gpWX (got acquired by Meta recently), I’ve been impressed by the design output for slide decks. Not perfect but pretty solid
@GoodFundies@TimBickford11 Again that’s just false. He was 820 OPS last year… “at his best” is just factually incorrect. And you’re further underplaying that Seattle is a bad hitters park so park adjusted stats make that look even better. 132 wrc+ is not “ok”.
@DPG3134@GoodFundies -16.6 is 2/3 from positional adjustment. He was a -5.1 fielder. Not a single 1b had a positive DEF, Pete -17.5
2024 533 inning at 1b -4
339 at 2b -5
Prorated that’s
-22 at 2b and -11 at 1b a 10 run difference from defense.
@GoodFundies@DPG3134 Disagree, that’s one of the main points of the defensive spectrum. It isn’t exactly that but it’s kind of close. Luis Arraez had played like 11 innings at 1b in the minors 8 years before he made the change. Look at his OAA at 1b vs 2b,
@guessworkinvest Mostly helpful to see the science/studies to convince me it was actually important, but if you just want to know what to do you can prob get 80% of it from the syllabus (top of my head: meditate, be grateful, be in the moment, workout, do kind things, stay off social media).
@guessworkinvest It’s definitely harder to do when you’re running a company though than it was as a searcher when I first started working out regularly.
@guessworkinvest I also found running a little boring so I mixed it up, did HIIT videos one day, running the next. And more recently have switched to weights.
After I was consistent about working out for 2 months I did start to feel the positive impact and made it easier to keep it up!
