@thedeserterJJ@jeffreyboadi_ We don’t need your euro-splaining dear. All team sports worldwide are equally chess-like at the professional level. Your jocks are just as dumb as ours.
@MCameron008 What’s the lack of understanding exactly . . . that this type of ‘skilled’ human can only be grown in a few places on the planet? Is it the soil?
@AvonandsomerRob Is this tweet from 1985? There is more variety of great beer here in the US than anywhere else in the world. But we’ll still take a pass on that Lambic shite!
@fredsoda To be at the top level of any profession requires discipline & hard work, but those are genetic traits. If you're in the top 0.1% in the world at a skill, as all pro athletes in all sports are, it's 99.9% about having the correct genetic traits. Which is just a numbers game.
@s8mb We're not bewildered. We just saw the punishment was too harsh for the good of the game and it needed fixing. We all chip in to help out the beautiful game. You're welcome.
@archer_rs They should have dropped by my kitchen any morning. We have hot water, we have coffee grounds, we have filters, we have mugs, what exactly did we mess up?
@Nick___Collins Really? In that case I'll be leading the US team in 2030! I'm a 54 year old overweight white guy, but I'm pretty intelligent, so it's all's good! Who knew that was the secret?
@gustavoabitten1@_not_101@AnnBaptist Do your worst. Our team’s play yesterday certainly deserved it. But respect is a two way street. Until euro-snobs accept it’s just as much our game as it is yours the trash talking will continue.
@Cygnus0503@turbo_beef@CallumCFC_ different athletic skillsets but still all extremely rare physical skills, to succeed in any professional sport you need very rare genetics, different sports just demand different genetics, there is no magic to soccer beyond that simple science.
@anyotherleader1 Athleticism doesn’t matter? Cool sign me up! watch out world in 2030 the US will be led by me, an over the hill, overweight (but fairly intelligent) white guy! Who knew that was the secret?
@JFOUIMET@8Sgymjunki1905@McBrideLawNYC If by "the rest of the world" you mean "condescending europeans with TDS" then I suppose there were a few ignorant people who reacted to misinformation and took it out on the USA. But I'm here to let you know the actual story. I'm just a friendly American here to share knowledge.
@JFOUIMET@8Sgymjunki1905@McBrideLawNYC What's a red flag?
Are you talking about the red card issued to Balogun after improper use of VAR?
If so, a potential penalty for that was postponed 1 year following an established protocol. During the process apparently one input was a politician's call. So who's crying?
@Microinteracti1 Crying & "play-acting" is actually the soccer way! Players deserve oscars for writhing around pretending to be injured.
Why do they do it? Because penalties are too harsh and give huge advantages to the opposition.
But the US helped fix that for you this week. You're welcome!
