This is all about the petrodollar. It appears to be preparation for the anticipated meeting between Xi Jinping and Trump in April, where they are expected to discuss business and broader economic stability. The underlying issue is the need for China to remain tied to the petrodollar system in order to help stabilize the U.S. economy.
Venezuela and Iran were major oil providers within this dynamic, but those relationships have shifted. At the same time, China cannot rely solely on Russia for energy, especially given Russia’s ongoing war and the instability that creates.
So we kinda had to choke China into submission and Israel gets what they want.
