They do this every GW in big games, and usually benefic to the everyone's favorite 3s of Red Cartel. Now its been against them, it will be a serious discussion until next game week.
@Pragyikmhrj Yeah some level of improvement. But some defenders have concentration/focus like of Goldfish and they are not even improving or serious about it.
And yeah Palestra will be good over a RWB/RB who only survives on skill of crosses, at least in attacking/progression phases
@jbsticks They expect Xabi to fix concentration and alertness capacity of pros who are too busy acting non chalant and probably have mind like of goldfish. And same guys were trained being relaxed and in safe zone is ok, after scoring one as we are doing lateral passes for last 1/2 yrs.
@flameosumeet It may not be sustainable at this rate. But it doesn't need to be, even 40% of this will be ok. And we had Palmer only as reliable outline for GA, and opponent targeted him. Now we have different reliable outlets considering Pedro also. They can man mark Cole as much as they can.
🚨🇰🇿 Dastan Satpayev will temporarily leave Burnley and return to Chelsea, according to media reports.
The 18-year-old footballer is returning due to an injury he sustained in the Championship match against Middlesbrough.
He is expected to return to Burnley after completing his rehabilitation.
He does not have required level of spatial and defensive awareness of this new system/as pivot DM, which will require some months of training and lapses, but he has got the guy lived it at highest level; to teach him those things and that guy has assured of that impliedly.
Reece James was poor against Arsenal in a new system without Caicedo, yes. But what I’m seeing on this platform goes way beyond criticism for one game.
Here’s our results with Reece James in midfield from Jan 2025, including the CWC and Conference league up to Arsenal this weekend:
28 games
15 wins
8 losses
5 draws
Even without Conference League it’s about the same win ratio. Over a season, 69 points.
We’ve won over 50% of games he has played in midfield and only lost about 30%. He has usually played with Caicedo. Who is injured right now.
He was part of the midfield for all our best performances and wins for about 15 months. PSG, Liverpool, Barcelona, Villa, City and Arsenal, all last season.
He’s learning a new system and doing it without Caicedo, of course there’s adjustments, it’s a different way of playing. Give him a break.
There is no loyalty or respect for your own, anymore. Writing Reece off because of one poor game is embarrassing. This is when he needs your support. He is a CL winner and our captain, one of our own. Who has always been loyal.
To real fans this means something. And you don’t get to judge my fandom when I’ve been following this club for 40 years.
@flameosumeet If Emery continues attack like vs Hull, remaining 9 outfield player of Villa cannot provide any volume of service for him to convert 30/40%. Tried in FH in GW3😬
@TheScore01 At any point all three would be nice core and first XI options when there are multiple games - all can have interchangeable roles/uses in the team except Scott being lone sitter, which other two can. Any other profiles are extra toppings over these three.
Xabi Alonso May Have Sabotaged Palestra Breakout Season:
Palestra was poised to be the absolute breakout revelation of the entire Premier League, but Alonso’s stubborn obsession with establishing relentless intensity early completely robbed the kid of his moment.
Instead of smartly easing a young talent into the physical side of the squad, Xabi ran him for 300mins across 3 different time zones in six days.
That isn't "building match fitness". it's reckless over-exertion disguised as managerial passion.
Alonso comfortably rested senior players while treating Palestra like a marathon runner who doesn't experience muscle fatigue.
At the moment Palestra's hamstring is probably being held together with prayers and sellotape.
Gabriel has no single talent of defending. Just dirty tackles and flipping the script. We need the Call out this FRAUD.
Jesus christ look at the linesman. He just watched like nothing happened 😭😭
Our Captain himself is a soft guy, if it's someone English - he is more softer. I was astounded that Rogers reacted that way until the end and beyond. Need to have some sort of revenge mentality in others also, they can share flowers in NT camp
🤍 You are not alone, Nepal.
This week, flood victims will be honoured with a moment of silence ahead of all UEFA Champions League matches.

other thing I'd say on this, if you accidently kicked a player in the face the very first thing you'd do would be to check if they're okay.
Gabriel had no interest at all, knew what he did and fucked off
@VetiNazreehlDr@plainoldrah@ExpectedChelsea There hasn't been a game where Gusto hasn't stopped a counter/turnover attack at least 2/3 times and now he is the guy to facilitate transitions and second balls. Only thing manager is doing wrong is saying "happy with this squad."
@VetiNazreehlDr@plainoldrah@ExpectedChelsea Plus, Neto/Gusto/James(as CM) doesn't even know how to track/man mark properly . James can't even scan and pass - its wherever he looks first. How does manager being flexible works if your at least one of CM/WB always can't man mark + has no ability to scan before passing?
