These are the words of Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, the paediatrician who ran Gaza's last children's hospital. He has been held without charge by Israel for over 18 months, alongside at least 13 other Palestinian doctors from Gaza.

His lawyers say he has been held in solitary confinement, beaten, starved, and denied medical care. He is now in life-threatening danger and requires urgent hospitalisation.

Silence is complicity. @YvetteCooperMP must demand his immediate release and urgent medical treatment NOW.

Today four activists face terror-related sentences for taking direct action against an Elbit Systems weapons factory in Filton, Bristol - a factory that makes drones sent to the genocidal apartheid state of Israel to kill Palestinians in Gaza.

Back in April, I warned in Parliament that jurors would not be told terrorism sentences could follow a criminal damage conviction.

No terrorism charges were ever brought. The proscription against Palestine Action has since been ruled unlawful. The defendants were even prevented from telling the jury they acted to stop genocide.

This is a Labour government defending Israeli death factories and stripping away all of our fundamental rights.

Everyone who cares about our democracy should be outraged.

More than 3,200 lawyers including 300 top barristers and retired judges have called on you to drop your plan to restrict the right to trial by jury.

30 organisations representing victims of violence against women and girls have written to the Justice Secretary urging him against curtailing the right to jury trials.

Trial by jury is a cornerstone of our democracy and an essential safeguard against authoritarianism. The government has no mandate to restrict it - a move which will put us on a path toward authoritarian justice.

It’s not too late for the government to listen to the thousands of voices of victims, judges, barristers, other legal professionals and academics who oppose this blatant act of constitutional vandalism.

7 officers, cuffed, a van and a car, an overnight hotel stay for the officers and then driven to London under arrest for WORDS and POSTS. All this for one woman who spoke out against jewish supremacy and ‘israel’ during a Genocide inflicted upon Palestinians by them. As a reference point - Peter Mendelson was arrested casually without handcuffs and let go without bail for passing on state sensitive information to Epstein.
