Our publication date is getting close. We are tying up loose ends and getting everything just right.
If you've sent us work and haven't received a reply from us, don't worry! We are taking a breath and will have updates soon.
Skipjack Review is still accepting submissions for our first issue! Send in your poetry, prose, and comics to be featured alongside illustrations and other talented writers. All submissions are free. #amwriting#writerscommunity
The Editors are slowly sending out some acceptances. One writer only waited a few days for their yes while another sat for a month.
Should there be an easier method will all of this?
Who knows? I don’t! We’re just jumping in and doing this lit thing!
@dylanblue3 Skipjack Review is open until October 1st (maybe longer). We are looking for nature-adjacent submissions in poetry, fiction, memoir, and comics.
#writerscommunity!! What are your writing goals for today? I wanna know!
My (realistic) writing goal for today is to crank out however many words I feel in the moment while sitting on my patio with my dog and an orange cream soda.
It’s #EarthDay and we are an Earth lovin’ mag!
So #writers, send us your poetry and prose that is nature adjacent! Interpret that how you wish.
Enjoy this pic of my nature lovin’ dogs. I’m off to sit in my back yard to read some submissions!
It feels so awkward trying to make literary friends on Twitter right now.
It’s like bounding up to a dinner party and opening the front door to find the host dropping a deuce on the table while everyone else is trying to eat.
Poetry is lovely and I hope we get a lot more of it, but where are my prose writers at?
Skipjack Review is open for submissions! #Writers! Send me your micro and short fiction and nonfiction!

Lemme tell ya.
Having a low paying, soul-crushing day job is not good for #writers. We need to be able to survive and have enough juice left to create.
We need that happy medium. Survival and relative comfort, but not something that completely overshadows our true calling.
It's not too late. Become a writer. The literary world needs every warm body with a pulse and a little bit of enthusiasm. There are still children dreaming of becoming writers and going to school and studying this shit! Let's make a new lit world and figure it out as we go!
