BREAKING: Jayden Bailey, a 17-year-old student athlete at Lebanon High School, died after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer, several years ago.
Bailey, a 6-foot-6 junior power forward, was diagnosed with the type of bone cancer in June 2022. His left arm was amputated as a result of the cancer in August 2025. After doctors thought he was cancer-free, the disease spread to his stomach in October 2025.
Still, he kept playing basketball and attending classes while inspiring those not only at Lebanon High, but the Tennessee high school basketball community. Bailey was honored by the Lebanon City Council days prior to his death with a proclamation of “Jayden Bailey Day.”
He was eventually forced to stop playing and going to school because his body was breaking down, his basketball coach, Jim McDowell said.
R.I.P. Jayden Bailey ❤️🙏
Win/win for Vol Nation. Either:
1. We get a proven guy back who led the SEC in passing and will have another year under his belt to be more comfortable in Heupel’s system or
2. NCAA sets a precedent by taking a stand saying enough is enough, and our young guys get a shot 🍊
Tennessee is suing the NCAA in the Knox County Court for a 6th season of eligibility…
This would be his 8th year in college... He’s been in college since 2019 🤯
Powerful message from Mauricio Ruffy, on the loss of his brother, after a brilliant knockout of Rafael Fiziev at UFC 325 🙏
One of those moments that reminds you this sport is still about real people, real pain, and real purpose.
“Guys, I’m very happy to be here.
I just want to say to everyone, my brother used to watch me fight. He’d be right here in the crowd. I used to see him here in the crowd.
He took his own life.
Don’t do this.
Jesus is my Lord.
Jesus is my savior.
Learn about Jesus.
Meet Jesus, you save your life.”
This may go down as the most controversial call of ALL TIME
Brandin Cooks has it, knee hits the ground
McMillan comes up with it afterward
… Broncos ball??
I guess I just don’t understand football anymore.
“Everybody would just remember me as the guy who took all this money and went to Miami or Tennessee for his last year. But I was a captain. I put my hand and footprints in the cement at Denny Chimes. I would have lost everything that I built at Alabama.” — Ty Simpson
This is the most reaction I have ever seen from Love on a drop.
No doubt in my mind they score if he makes this catch and they have the ball on the 25 with 40 seconds and 1 timeout.
Love knows it.
