Public service announcement: After the rah-rah discovery call for a subscription service, before you sign or, more importantly, pay, review the contract’s cancellation policy and service/performance deliverables. Tired of one-sided contracts favoring the seller. Recently, payment equaled accepting the seller’s terms, even before receiving the PSA.
@LoewyLawFirm@TxDan_Gonzalez Why it’s not at COTA with F1 sandwiched in the middle makes no sense to me. ACL - F1 - ACL back-to-back-to-back weekends. Actually, I do have an idea why.
@DonovanBuilds@YIMBYLAND 2-4 unit residential in Texas can be brutal. City level development regulations kill so many great projects. It’s a development process nightmare for missing middle housing.
Been working on a couple potential development projects pre-LOI. City has a new code, less than a year old. Provided comments prior to adoption, essentially, this is going to devalue some residents property. Yep, it does.
I'm in Fort Worth today. What’s new, cool, and actually working in real estate development here? Infill, missing middle, adaptive reuse, mixed-use. What’s worth seeing while I’m in town?
At today’s HBA Bastrop-Caldwell County chapter meeting, missing middle housing got a hidden mention.
Bastrop County median household income sits around $86K. Income needed to buy a $320K new home? Roughly $98K. Sub-$300K new housing options basically don’t exist. That’s the gap in real numbers.
Missing-middle housing in the right locations is exactly what could serve that “missing” segment of residents. Let’s design a code and process so the math works.
