An OpenAI model has achieved a major breakthrough in mathematics, by disproving a central conjecture in discrete geometry that was first posed by Paul Erdős in 1946.
This is the first time AI has autonomously solved a prominent open problem central to a field of mathematics.
Siemens: Europa droht bei KI-Investitionen leer auszugehen
Wegen überbordender Regulierungen (EU AI Act & Data Act) will Siemens den Großteil seiner 1-Milliarden-Euro-KI-Investitionen in die USA leiten statt nach Europa. CEO Roland Busch: Die Regeln verfehlen ihr Ziel und behandeln industrielle KI wie Verbraucher-Apps https://t.co/bVHZfxpMfr
This Chinese humanoid robot just shattered the world record for a half marathon, finishing in 50 min 26 sec.
This video shows its crash just meters before the finish line where it had to be picked up by a team of humans. The robot is from Honor, the smartphone maker and Huawei spin-off. This robot was teleoperated while others were autonomous. It seems like all the robots had battery swaps along the way.

holy shit anthropic just revealed Claude Mythos, a brand new model thats already found 1000s of high-severity vulnerabilities across major operating systems 🙂
they're releasing a new claude opus model POWERED by mythos imminently but look at this shit:
- mythos found a major bug in a 27-year old firewall operating system used to secure organizations all over the world
- mythos found a way to chain vulnerabilities together to take over entire computer systems, something elite hackers could only do.
they are NOT releasing the full mythos model because its too dangerous fucking hell lol.
anthropic is committing $100M across 40+ partners to battle-test security systems with mythos before releasing it to the public
cyber-security AGI is apparently here
Introducing Project Glasswing: an urgent initiative to help secure the world’s most critical software.
It’s powered by our newest frontier model, Claude Mythos Preview, which can find software vulnerabilities better than all but the most skilled humans.

I'm delighted to share a newly released technical report from our engineering team on the latest advances in world models. XPENG X-World is a physics AI system that can "think through" driving scenarios. It simulates and predicts how road conditions will evolve seconds into the future, based on real-time road environments and driving maneuvers.
XPENG X-World has already become a foundational enabler across key pillars of our autonomous driving development, including closed-loop simulation testing, reinforcement learning, and targeted data generation. For example, leveraging its core capability of controllable generation, X-World is focused on improving the performance of our VLA 2.0 in challenging scenarios such as sudden pedestrian dart-outs at intersections and hesitation during lane changes in congested traffic. Meanwhile, X-World generates region-specific overseas driving data for model training, accelerating the global rollout of XPENG's autonomous driving technology.
