After long years of hard work @AmuluruKrishna & I are proud to publish the 1st ed. of #CerebrovascularDisorders in @SpringerNature's @NeuroMethods
Educating future generations on the nuances of cerebrovascular diseases is a true labor of love Thank you to all our collaborators.
Excited to share our latest individual patient metaanalysis on symptomatic intracranial stenosis. Stenting in patients with >85% stenosis was associated with perioperative risk comparable to risk of stroke in medical management patient. This group of patients should be studied further in future trials. https://t.co/f1IE5WsA75
So the data does NOT support using Andexant Alfa for all patients. There is NO proven net benefit (no reduction in mortality or improvement in mRS). Perhaps Analyses from ANNEXA-I can identify subgroups with net benefit where it may be considered (maybe surgical patients?) #ISC25
Quite surprising to me. Now I will have to wait for all the data to be out and excited for the subgroup analysis that follows!

3 Medium Vessel Occlusion Trials presented today during the plenary session- DISTAL (photo 1), ESCAPE-MeVO (Photo 2), and DISCOUNT (Photo 3) unequivocally showed no benefit of EVT over best medical management. #ISC25#aha@StrokeAHA_ASA
