Love wins every time. There is a lot of hate going around right now, incited by those who fear what they do not understand. You do not have to understand, you just have to be respectful. It’s not that hard. #NoSpaceForHate

Shameful on so many levels! No academic amnesty, no cancelling of labs/classes, etc. and now - no answers from a President whose salary these students pay! Solidarity with @MUNFaculty#FairDealAtMUN
This winter semester was the first time I have had a class with Dr. Jeffrey Van den Scott, and I can say, without a doubt he is one of the greatest professors I’ve had. Not only is he excellent at teaching and conveying topics, (1/3)
Standing in Solidarity with Dr. Jeffrey van den Scott and Dr. Mehmet Efe Caman - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/e6z84GJtsT via @CdnChange@MUNSU35@MUNFaculty
it is clear he cares about what he’s teaching, and he displays such kindness to students as well. His class is my favourite I have, and I look forward to it every day. Please, even if you have yet to meet Dr. Jeffrey Van Den Scott, sign the petition, (2/3)
Amnesty now for students! Cancel classes! Accept a #FairDealAtMUN !
Since @MUNFaculty members are likely assigning final marks for courses with labs, are any of us going to penalize students for not crossing the picket line during a strike? I won't.
Our so-called @MemorialU leadership are spreading misinformation about academic amnesty during strike action. We have been calling for academic amnesty for students impacted by the strike action. Dr. Timmons, as chair to Senate, had every ability to call an emergency meeting
ALL classes should be paused. The UC was empty, the MUNnels were empty, but students were outside drenched to the bone today to show our support🤝🏼Students are in solidarity with @munfaculty ! We ALL want a #FairDealAtMUN
Update from @MemorialUSci regarding the survey of ~6000 students:
There was no survey sent to students.
An email memo was sent by the Dean of Science.
One student responded to this email with concerns.

thanks for posting this, I know at least for myself and many others, hearing things such as “unexcused absences” in lieu of refusing to cross a picket line is very stressful.
Hi Students. Have you felt intimidated by the administration's messaging on classes/labs? I know you have; I've heard it from many of you.
You won't see this in a Newsline or on the Labour Relations page, but here's a quote from the Acting Provost to CBC today.
As you were.
