Strengthening Communities, Creating Sustainable Livelihoods

The Sociologist Team of Anugola Forest Division visited Kanjara VSS and Putamala Village under Jarapada Range and held a coordination meeting with community members.

Discussions focused on solar fencing, women’s empowerment, village development and sustainable livelihood opportunities. As part of the community support initiative, 12 grain bins and one power tiller machine were distributed to support livelihood activities.

The team also reviewed ongoing income-generating initiatives, assessed the need for additional livelihood-support machinery and encouraged SHG members to actively participate in sustainable enterprises.

Such community-focused initiatives strengthen economic resilience, empower local communities and build stronger partnerships for forest conservation.

Stronger Communities. Sustainable Livelihoods. Better Conservation.
