@TheSkepticWiz Sin is sin, there's no distinction between big and small per the Bible. It's like a debate amongst thieves. Adam's sin is just eating a fruit that was forbidden.
James 2:10: "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."
@TheSkepticWiz The Christian doctrine is: Romans 3: "23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. "
The theology is that all humans are sinners. Big sin, small sin are the same to God.
@mbird12 Paul sites creation order as the reason. He repeats this in Corinthians and Titus. Let scripture interpret itself. To assume outside authority over scripture (citing Artemis cult behavior) is not sound hermeneutics.
@AJButton2 Wouldn't crypto (ETH specifically) have the potential to act like the central bank for all banks? If every transaction in the world is in the blockchain via level 2 or level 3 layers then potentially transactions can be instantaneous. Wouldn't that be revolutionary?
@LDS_Dems Literally contradicting scripture:
"14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner." - 1 Timothy 2: 14
@SaintEcclesia@atKensai Did Satan destroy Job or God? It's the same with David and Satan. It's Satan but with permission or possibly direction or prompt from God.
@madmomma22@realdocspeaks This is the real issue. If you decide to go without insurance and pay out of pocket, you are at the mercy of the hospitals. They can charge you exorbitantly and send the charge to collections and ruin your credit.
Who would like to take that risk?
@_VoidRevenant@iamAtheistGirl The 5 witnesses of mormonism is interesting. Either they formed a conspiracy or they indeed saw it. I'd chalk it up to a deception similar to the magicians mimicking some of Moses' miracles.
Those witnesses are not at pains of death to them or their family to stress them out.
@valaki_berlin@iamAtheistGirl It's the abundance of evidence that says Jesus and the Christian faith is true than any other religion (Islam has historicity, but then it's another topic). Given the options, belief in it is the rational answer imo.
@nmeoftheright@SquallLeon9773@iamAtheistGirl So we have these copies of books and letters from the authors from 125 to ~200 CE who cross reference the same incidents: the life of Jesus. What's the earliest copies of sources that references Gallic wars? Grok says 9th/10th century:
@Ryanseptus@iamAtheistGirl Probably not. But Peter says us to give a reply for the faith we hold. And Pascal's wager can be added to the numerous others.
@SquallLeon9773@nmeoftheright@iamAtheistGirl@grok Fair point. If we take the new testament books at face value, the disciples saying what they said and doing what they did is in my mind impossible unless they believe they are telling the truth and worth the violent death waiting them.
