The allegations of misappropriation of donations made by devotees for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya are deeply disturbing.

These offerings were made with faith, devotion and sacrifice by millions of Indians. Every contribution represented trust in a sacred cause. Any breach of that trust is a betrayal not only of public faith but also of the values that such institutions are meant to uphold.

Matters concerning places of worship and public donations must be governed by the highest standards of transparency, integrity and accountability.

The ongoing investigation must be fair, thorough and impartial. Every person found responsible, irrespective of position or influence, must be brought to justice. That alone will restore the confidence of millions of devotees and reaffirm that faith can never be exploited for private gain.

Delhi Medical Procurement Scam

The Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has arrested former Delhi Government DGHS Dr. Vatsala Agarwal in connection with an alleged multi-crore medical equipment procurement scam.

Deputy Controller (Finance) Neeraj Chopra has also been arrested in the same case.

Sources indicate that several IAS officers have also come under the ACB's radar, and summons for questioning are expected to be issued soon.

Earlier, the ACB had arrested Dr. Vinod Kumar Ranga, the former Head of Office (HOO) of the Central Procurement Agency (CPA), in connection with the investigation.
