Here’s what boomers and pundits don’t get about the work crisis. (And it is a crisis for many.) Not everyone shares your particular subculture’s values (white heartland 1960’s)—including whites from other backgrounds.

1. A college graduate’s resume looks WORSE the longer you work below your station in retail, assuming you have the ambition to move into corporate world. Nobody gives you a gold star for making that sacrifice. In fact the norm is they’ll assume something is wrong with you and move on to one of the next 500 applicants for software sales associate. Get a grip

2. As the quoted thread humorously details, there is little honor or satisfaction left in the service jobs that hold up society. It’s been squeezed out. And they typically afford you no time or money margin with which to better yourself. Just being there is a life CRISIS; to escape on your own is a feat, not the norm.

3. I don’t understand wtf these people think happens when a young smart white guy with college degree works a service job with people who hate and resent him. It’s simply not an option in some neighborhoods. It’s obvious to everyone from day 1 that you don’t belong there and there will always be a wall between you. NO, they will not be grateful you are blessing them with your presence, unless you just have incredible rizz. This resentment can happen even in all-white places.

The House Intelligence Committee concluded in the report that an intelligence community assessment from 2023 of anomalous health incidents (AHI), commonly called Havana Syndrome, "lacked analytic integrity and was highly irregular in its formulation."

Based on their review, committee members said they believe the intelligence community was involved in "stonewalling, slow-walking, and cherry-picking of information" in its Havana Syndrome investigation.

Wow. I think Biden’s commuting the sentence of this disgraced Pa judge is a big mistake. I covered this in my Pa media days. He was one of 2 judges receiving $$ to sentence kids to lengthy sentences in a for-profit juvenile prison.
