Today we're launching a new era for @Octolens.
When we started Octolens, we set out to build a social listening dashboard. Today, our best customers barely open it.
Daily active users are down, but revenue is up 5x over the last year.
So we rebuilt Octolens as what it actually is: a data layer that plugs in wherever you work.
Today we cover the entire web + our MCP and API reads and writes.
In 2026, if an agent can't reach the data, it's not a data source.
This is social listening for the agent era.
@ElTimuro I was actually confused while looking at two accounts, and what's even funnier is that they both have a verified badge, making the original account look like a scam.
I just launched Octolens on @ProductHunt!
Iโve helped in a few launches before, but this is the first one I'm launching, so I'm extra excited (and nervous).
Pepe and I are working very hard to make Octolens the best social listening tool for B2B software products. We are proud of where it's at & excited for all we have planned!
We would love your support & to hear what you think!

What was originally a feature has inspired a stand-alone business.
Octolens was born out of a feature of @CrowdDotDev called Eagle Eye.
We released Eagle Eye almost 2 years ago. It monitored developer-centric sites for content to engage with to grow your community.
As it was not core to our vision, we didn't invest much into it. Yet, it remained one of our most popular features.
After receiving enough requests, we decided to follow this momentum to create a stand-alone product called Octolens.
Now a small team and I:
- focus our full attention on it to make it great
- make it tangible for the right audience
- offer it for a price that makes sense (+ a free version!)
Sometimes a feature buried in a wider platform can stand on its own.
