Today we’re announcing a new £10bn package of support for Ukraine.
This funding will help Ukraine meet its immediate needs, support economic resilience, and help defend its sovereignty from Russia’s illegal invasion.
We will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.

I was privileged to support a young man's school fees a while back. I never saw his face. His request came with no photo, just an urgent need.
Today he sent me a graduation picture, so I finally know what he looks like, and his email was not another request. It was a thank you. He even put my name in his project dedication.
An update such as his without another request attached to it is unusual (not to mention the dedication). People either move on or return to thank me, but with a new request attached. (When I saw the appreciation email, I was expecting to read that he needed another help. Because that's what I am used to, sadly)
This also made me think of the ones I could not help. And it made me grateful for platforms like NELFUND and for everyone, often quiet and unnamed, keeping a child in school. Because no matter how many people you can reach, you are always reminded of your own limits to reach more.
Education does not only change one life. It changes a family, and given enough of them, a civilisation.
Increasing focus on JP Morgan role in Gianni Infantino’s hastily-abandoned plan to sell off parts of the World Cup. Bankers now getting scrutiny, the latest inspection in the Telegraph today. It’s obviously all about the money for them but surely somebody involved in the process might have mentioned what the inevitable reaction and outcome would be. Humiliation.
Surely somebody had even the faintest knowledge of football, and the emotion it stirs, and that they were not simply toying with a struggling soybean operation somewhere in the Midwest. They were toying with the world’s game, the World Cup. And billions care.
A financial institution staffed with some very intelligent people must have remembered its involvement in the European Super League fiasco. Humiliation. “We clearly misjudged how this deal would be viewed by the wider football community and how it might affect them in the future,” a JP Morgan spokesperson said back in 2021. “We will learn from this.” Clearly not. Next to their boardroom they need a readtheroom.
Thank you to the FIFA administration for suddenly this morning delivering what was owed to our players and coaching staff, for the Jordan National team’s accession to the final of the FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar last December.
This was funding that should have been received 8 months ago.
While this is a good development for our players, it does not change the serious concerns we in the football world have regarding the FIFA leadership, nor does it change what our FAs have been subjected to in the past.
It is symptomatic of those exact difficulties that we all face, and that are usually linked to the FIFA presidential elections. And it does not change my clear position concerning the leadership of FIFA: my FA and I will not endorse president Infantino, nor will we vote for him.
Claiming that human code is full of errors, agentic code is error free all to pitch your startup that positions itself to rewrite code w AI is bold.
Because agentic code is as buggy as human code trained on, in fact introduces new, harder to spot bugs errors and vulnerabilities.
Bro I'm so sick of pretending this isn't weird.

AI companies turned all of it into products worth billions.
And now the same people who created that knowledge are being told they're replaceable.
