In 1879 Alexander Forrest saw these great Kimberley ranges and, in awe, named them after Belgian King Leopold.

Today we officially renamed them the Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges - the names they have held well before that King was born.

Bilbies were restored to two NSW national parks in 2018/19, where they had been missing for more than a century.

To monitor the health of these new populations AWC ecologists carry out regular surveys - which recently turned up these two beauties ❤.
