Welekazi?! @African_Spring ? What did you do? What did you do? Not you. Not you. I love you so much. I don't understand what I've just read here. Words feel so inadequate. I'm heartbroken, beloved stranger whom I'd never met. But we met...we met...in words, admiration, laughter, love and solidarity. We met in ways more powerful than the physical. And I loved and admired you. I'm comforted that I atleast told you so, multiple times.

I can't think of anything that makes your death fair. I'm so twisted inside and I wish you were still here to share your insights, wit, sharp tongue and love for South Africa, with us.

You called yourself African Spring - a name filled with youth, hope and the promise of renewal. How unbearably cruel that your own spring should have been so brief. You should have had so many more seasons.

We are poorer without you. Go gently African Spring.
