@justcuuper As we see today, markets overreacted yesterday and are now waking up realizing we're still in a high-tariff environment with a volatile leader.
@BradRTorgersen Australia and Japan similarly charge an average of 2.5%. The EU is 5%. China is like 3% I believe. Some products are certainly higher, but those are an average.
@BradRTorgersen Tariffs can be useful for certain items in certain circumstances - which is how most countries use them. Only a couple of countries use across-the-board tariffs. And their tariffs, like ours, tend to be quite modest in most cases. Until this week, we charged an average of 2.5%.

@justicedems I agree with the overall assessment, but I think get out of the way and let the republicans fumble this one - they're going to do it anyway, might as well let it fall as hard as possible.
@schlengerg865@YMichelle10@KyleKulinski Hardly. I know very well he is not qualified. Please show me where in his career he worked in accounting or forensics. Please show me where he has a team of accountants or lawyers working for him.
@Timodc@MichaelSteele Why is the opposition impotent? They know we're in a knock-off version of Putin's Russia, where opposition politicians and media fall out of windows. It's not too crazy to say this now.
