Glad to see the younger generation pushing back on the @1850RHTreaty attempts to erase families by sharing their histories and current experiences.

Shameful treatment from those that claim to represent. #RobinsonHuronTreaty#RHTLF
@DarrylLeroux TY for your continued work on these issues. Your & O'Toole's reports for MMF & others can be strengthened by fact that growing numbers of the "founding" families in Mattawa/Temiskaming are status under Indian Act = not metis. Ref'd docs are the same they use to apply to ISC.
@PeterRecollet Now that the party is over, do you think the general list families will get an update or will they continue to be ignored. The current situation created by @1850RHTreaty is disgraceful. A year of nothing but excuses.
@dl_hickey Not from Dokis but thank you for your overview of info shared. Still no meetings for the general list annuitants (the 1% mentioned). Is the community that left Temagami? They are the 22nd band on gov site list of entitled to rht.
@dl_hickey Sorry. General List Sudbury (817) are Status people who are RHT annuitants but for various reasons aren't also members of the 21 Bands. Could be that their families were on the territory in 1850 but not members or haven't been accepted back in aft enfranchisement.
@WillowFiddler @katawasin @WriterWong@CBCNews Would an amended certificate from another country have a hospital listed and Dr. signed? I would think that there would be a record of birth at the hospital too but maybe not in the USA. So saddened by the hurt everyone is feeling.

Breaking News! The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has just approved the $23.4Billion compensation agreement for children, youth and families affected by Canada’s discriminatory conduct towards First Nations children, youth and families. Link to decision coming soon!
@Jewelanland@AylanX No question the AOO is problematic. Algonquin FN might consider welcoming back those with Indian status instead of leaving them in limbo so that their only community is tied to AOO. Work 2 strengthen the Nation instead of leaving it fractured by feds. Similar 4 RHT FN gen list.
