Ben Scheim

Hospitality person, Gatherer of people, curator of events, sometimes writer. Obsessor of cycling, music, Arsenal, Dirk. Weirdo. More EQ than IQ.

@afcjxmes I know you're just a kid but "disastrous" is an unintelligent, myopic take.

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@BobbyAllyn @maxwelltani Bobby, you've correctly ID'd definitive chud man-as-thumb mediocrity, this guy

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@PoznanInMyPants @janiharju I definitely laughed out loud, admittedly mostly from the line "Dad i don't have time for your dumb jokes"

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@BusinessInsider Vn n v

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@dens We drive to a place on Oceanside, Long Island every year called Dee's where you can get a 6 footer for more like $80

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@sharpshoot @katgarciaonline @mycheres @betaworkstudios @Borthwick Hey @katgarciaonline DM me regarding @betaworkstudios, we might be able to host!

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@mcmansionhell 100% agree! It makes no sense. They used to let me go thru the McDonald's drive thru in Williamsburg until they switched their manager

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@YankeeGunner So bummed for you and everyone involved Elliot! As a pro event planner, feel/been living this nightmare since March 2020. We are all at COVID's mercy. It will happen eventually

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@ryleywalker I wouldn't have given the Pig more than a 4.6. Cloying, mundane, repetitive. Back to the drawing board, Pig.

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@Jayson_Greene @jumonsmapes @brandonstosuy Lol yes, and admittedly far more distracting to others than any amount of clackety clack typing

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@jumonsmapes @brandonstosuy @Jayson_Greene yes! i remember first learning about this from you when we worked together in Skidmore College Writing Center 20 years ago 🙃

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@ezyjules @patrickbjohnson @betaworkstudios 🙏 yes indeed!

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@Stillberto Depressing but also, dear God, Thomas, please stop trying to shoot

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@YankeeGunner @PoznanInMyPants @Blahovic @Stillberto @Blahovic & @Stillberto both right -- "issue" isn't duration. W/ only 0-4 goals scored in 90, it's a weird sport for today's attn spans; same for 60 min. No goalies? Hockey-esque power plays? Maybe? (I don't want either). But who cares as long as people keep buying tix & merch?

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@ezyjules Kudos to her, sounds like you could learn a thing or two about foods

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@ezyjules @aweissman Hahah or #2

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@TheOculusOnline @orlandosentinel @GreatDismal also, some might consider teaching about evolution to be among the "basics"

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@ryanpitchfork congrats Ryan!

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@en_cohen LOL. Also, i always thought the lyric was "Bible's got songs" ... exposing my lack of familiarity with the book in question

[Ben Scheim @slangeditorial]

@JayCoDon It's not always about money. There are some people who actually just *enjoy* organizing great experiences for human beings. It's been an awful year for a lot of us, but even now I can't wait to get back to doing it again.
