whendecisions A7 I used to believe that working lunches added to productivity, although I still can't nap, I do believe break away lunch and walks really energize you and make you more productive and creative. Just like recess for kids!
A6: #whendecisions Many of the activities suggested for synchronization remind me of Morning Meeting games which are useful during Morning Meetings but could also be used to break up the afternoon or to mark a midpoint.
whendecisions A6 The staff gets synched with the students when we all work on something together. Ex food drive, door contest, dress up days, pats or red sox gear. Kids love seeing the staff doing what their doing.
#whendecisions Q5 I like to end therapy sessions with success. Even if it means going back to earlier goals. Celebrate the ending so the next session has a positive feel to start with.
A4: Checking in with colleagues in my grade level and the one above can trigger my midpoint alarms. It’s a great way to keep me on track, get ideas, and inspiration for the rest of the year. #whendecisions

Q4#whendecisions
Setting midpoints may help procrastinators. I like having weekly timelines with Wednesday as our target to have "x amount" completed and sparking a strong finish. Other targets may include 15th of the month, trimester midpoint, first semester, etc
#whendecisions Q4: I use the midpoint of the marking period as an alert to my goals and data. To make sure i'm staying on track and the kiddos are moving forward.
#whendecisions Q3: the WHEN piece I took from this chapter (besides starting HS later which should be obvious if you have a teenager!!) is starting fresh every 24 hours to acknowledge small wins. This adds the WHEN into the WHAT for me.
Q3:I agree that more people are likely to react to "what" because it is more definitive, therefore may have an easier fix. Although "when" may have a better result, it might be too abstract for some.
#whendecisions A2 I am admittedly on the larky side, but, I would schedule staff meetings at 7:20 AM and finish by 8:50. Coverage or a late start time would be necessary. I realize this would take some getting used to, and effort for those with children at home. Lotsof energy!
@paula_izbicki A1:#whendecisions Definitely, a wait period is necessary to get all the information you need, and to neutralize emotions, but I'd make sure to respond at my peak time.
