Yes, you’ve not been seeing my post lately. It’s not because the school has answered us, in fact, the school has not reached out to us since all these started and in my opinion, that’s some level of IRRESPONSIBILITY.

WHERE EXACTLY DOES THE PROBLEM LIE?
The two major institutions to blame are the University and the MDCN. They each have an equal share of blame. The University kick-started a program it wasn't ready to run and was reluctant in meeting up to standards even though it had students paying and showing up every day. The school is also to blame for over-admitting students beyond its prescribed quota, an issue they have corrected by indexing students according to MDCN requirements and ensuring 20 students per class while making arrangements to transfer excess students to other Faculties and institutions to complete their studies.
However, since the school has accepted blame and put in sufficient effort to ensure they meet up with MDCN's requirements, I will not focus on the University but on MDCN and what is increasingly becoming a pattern in its operation: the weaponization of power.
Despite the invitation by the University with details of steps it has taken to fulfill MDCN's requirements, the MDCN has resorted to one of its most inhumane attitudes in treating such issues—silence. According to reports from meetings between the University Management, Students body and Parents, the MDCN Registrar has taken it upon herself as duty to punish the University for personal administrative issues they have with the Vice Chancellor and in extension the University. The method for punishment is to refuse to respond to invitations for accreditation without giving a clear timeline for possible visitation or an explanation for the delays. The students once made attempts to petition MDCN in the National Assembly but their petition was shelved to protect the image of the Council in the international community. Engagements with the Minister of Education and Minister of Health have yielded nothing. Students cannot complain in public because MDCN has a rule that penalizes that with stringent measures. It has become more of a situation where no one can ask questions and get answers. Even the University management have resigned to fate further dampening the already crushed spirits of the students and parents. Considering that students have spent unnecessary long time in school, one expects MDCN to treat their issue as an urgent issue requiring immediate solution. This has nothing to do with reducing standards but of upholding standards with a sense of humanity. Maybe MDCN just doesn't know the impact and its ripple effects on students and the country's health care as a whole. MDCN does not only have a responsibility to be effective but also to be efficient and the constitutional principles that guide their activities gives allowance for flexibility in being efficient without compromising standards.
What makes it worrying is this inhumane attitude by MDCN is not peculiar to the University of Jos. Currently, the University of Ilorin medical students are complaining about a similar treatment having completed their training but MDCN is delaying inducting some of them due to such administrative bottlenecks. These bottlenecks are usually shrouded in "upholding standards" however the so-called standards tend to only apply in some instances while being overlooked in other instances. For instance, University of Ilorin is struggling with not being able to get MDCN to induct 175 medical students because according to MDCN, they exceed the quota of 150 appointed to the school; however, the same MDCN just inducted a class of dental students in University of Maiduguri in January and guess what, the number of inductees almost doubles their allocated quota. It leaves us wondering why the double standards, lack of transparency and silence. Is it truly about upholding standards or just about punishing certain institutions?
Well, we’ve resulted to encouraging ourselves and at this point, we are just tired, most of us don give up self.
And yeah, it will interest you that the school has not checked up on us once.
MDCN and Unilorin, you’ve won.

It ought to be a right but it is now a plea. Regardless, we are at the bottom of the food chain and we are only begging for a chance to survive. Whatever school of thought you belong to, each person is a 100% to his/her family.
They rather came up with 'damage control' measures aimed at justify their injustice and watering down the effect of their unfairness and distort the public's perception of the depth of the damages caused.
You would think that compensations would be discussed e.g. since house job is the next phase for you, we will liaise with institutions and look for means to discuss getting you slots pending the time we get your licenses.
