A patient with GI bleeding can be in shock despite having a normal blood pressure (Class 1 and 2 shock).
A low blood pressure indicates Class 3+ shock, equating to at least 1500ml of intravascular volume deficit.

Worked the weekend. Fri-Sun 8.30-21.30. No tube or trains so up at 6.15, home at 10.15. Med Reg for the entire hospital except Acute. And today? Three emergency emails and phone calls re events at the weekend. LEAVE ME ALONE
