I’m certain my least memorable song will be remembered more fondly and for more time than anything you ever do with your life will be. Everything you say is more “whiny” and “edgy” than I was at any point on that album. But at least I had the excuse of going through chemo.
I come back to this speech every once in a while:
“in the 1,526 singles matches I played in my career, I won almost 80% of those matches
… what percentage of points do you think I won in those matches?
only 54%.”
One of the most prolific criminals in all of San Francisco tells @adam22 that “crime in San Francisco is over with” because of Flock cameras + drones. He complains that he can’t even do drivebys anymore.
It’s simple: when the risk of getting caught is too high, crime plummets.
i don’t understand tech ppls obsession with wealth / net worth when they don’t even live particularly luxurious or aspirational day to day lives. don’t build anything breathtaking with the money. none of them are particularly well dressed, their progeny are nonexistent etc
Or go to the Presidio, jump in the ocean, get a coffee at The Mill, watch sunset at Twin Peaks, ride a bike anywhere, see live music, eat a burrito, take a grass nap in GG Park, have beer at The Page, watch the Bay Bridge lights, wander Chinatown, wander Ferry building, run across GG Bridge, walk Fort Funston, eat the best meal of your life with friends…drive any direction for 2hrs. And be deeply grateful for the heavenscape you live in.
Everyone who cares about climate should understand this. Texas, with no pro-climate policies, has blown passed California in clean energy. In large part because Texas has less red tape and makes it easier to build.
tech idiot who spends 90 hours a week in an office with other tech idiots, is afraid of public transit, and only orders take-out: San Francisco sucks
normal people in SF: let’s take the bus to one of our city’s multiple scenic national park spaces and drink canned wine
