Not only do a lot of people think the #FutureOfWriting will mainly be on social media through visuals but we'll move away from formal writing to a more informal style
@kennedyrandall0 Honestly like not having social media these days is criminal. Before I had Instagram people on tinder would assume I’m a catfish just because my insta wasn’t linked!
@jeep_gay @KaiTrotz And then a couple hours turns into a couple days and a couple days turns into a week and at that point I don’t even have a valid excuse anymore
@MeganMedeiros10 @cathehall1 Yeah idk how some people can be like "the planet is dying!" and still not do anything to change that. A little goes a long way
@MaryLynneCCOM I feel this. Everything I do involves digital technology. School, work, staying in touch with friends/family, entertainment. Even when I go on walks I use my phone to listen to music!
@cathehall1 @MeganMedeiros10 Cowspiracy was lowkey the push I needed to go full vegetarian and I’ve been recommending seaspiracy to anyone who will listen to me
I don't think I'll edit another wiki page. I feel as though I don't have enough authority on any certain topic to be able to contribute meaningful information
The hardest part was finding something to write about. It seemed liked every person or place I thought to write about didn't have a wiki page at all (maybe I should have just made one) #315wikichallenge#ccom315
@VdovinaVlada Dude I've been trying to find a topic that isn't extensively researched and that I have some knowledge about for like 3 days 😂 I'm coming to the realization that I know nothing haha
Ok so if most of the info on Wikipedia is cited and verified why do teachers always insist it’s “not a real source?” Have they never seen these videos explaining how the articles are written?? #315slides
I think a pro of Wikipedia is its neutral stance on topics. I could be wrong but I believe there’s little bias in Wikipedia articles unlike news articles #315slides
@KaiTrotz I do this all the time. I guess I never made the connection that the writers cite these sources because they use them in the wiki article. At that point what’s the difference? Why are the footnotes more appealing?
I never bothering looking into the writers and the process behind Wikipedia articles because I always trusted my teacher but now I’m kinda wishing I did my own digging
Honestly debating scraping my open letter to rewrite one to @virtualcasey and @eg_powell to thank them for the light work load this week because it honestly couldn’t have come at a better time 🙏 #ccom315
