your critique of ai cannot be entrenched in aesthetics because there will be a time when you see an ai image or hear an ai song and think "that looks/sounds good". your critique of ai must always be entrenched in the poisonous effect it has on people's brains and the planet.
I’m not even gonna lie to yall. This should be… NEEDS TO BE… the FINAL fucking straw with ai. We cannot allow shit like this to keep happening. We risk losing our identity as a species. We risk losing our art to the machines. We risk cutting off new art forever. This isn’t good
If the take is anything besides “we live in a society that’s normalizing surveillance culture and rewarding freaks for invading people’s privacy so we fight it less when our government does it” I’m not interested

Reminder for oomfs that in 2016, as a superdelegate Xavier Becerra cast his vote for Hillary Clinton despite the fact that Bernie won his home district over Clinton of CA-34.
The idea is to find a group of people most people regard as terrible examples, use them to make revoking passports a more acceptable form of punishment, then expand it from there.
it's a good practice to be able to identify the surveillance around you & risks with it - data harvesting, flock/axon cams, ring cameras - but part of the point of this surveillance saturation is to scare you into passivity under the assumption it's totally omnipotent, it's not.
My take is that the goal of pushing age verification and imposing digital ID is to be able to do this to anyone in the future.
If your ID is linked to your access to the Internet, your money, food, etc then criticizing people in power can lead to this access being taken away
