After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

I’m Renatta. I’m 44 years old and live in small-town North Carolina.

I am a born-again Christian who accepted Christ at a young age. I thank Him for saving me, because there is no way I would be here today if not for Him.

When I was 8 years old, I lost my father in an automobile accident. Little did I know then that that tragic event in my young life would help shape me into the woman I am today.

When I was 13, I started having seizures. I was eventually diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1(NF1) which causes tumors to form on the nerves.

In 2007 at the age if 26, I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I also have chroic migraines and vertigo.

Many times throught the years, i have asked God to completely heal me. But I lnow now He has greater plans for me.

In 2 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul pleads with God three times to take his affliction away. God tells him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

I realize that even if I am weak, His grace is all i need. I may never be healed physically on this side of heaven, but I have God’s grace. And that is enough.

The message of the Gospel is simple. We were all born into sin because of Adam’s sin. Sin separated us from God. We need a Savior. Jesus Christ is that Savior. He was born to a virgin and lived a sinless life, died on the cross and was resurrected so that we could be set free from our sin. Jesus bridged the gap between God and sin. When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we are ensured eternal life.
