@slinkysurfer @patbhoy71 @StRochsJuniors Cracking piece of Candy memorabilia.

This is the medal that your dad would have won @freddywelsh115

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@S1Mullen @StRochsJuniors My dad was president of The Central League and Vice President of the SJFA, didn’t quite get the top job, he was told it was something to do with handshakes and his school.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@StRochsJuniors 60 years ago, The Candy won The Central League Cup, my father was the manager at that time Willie Smith, I thought you may be interested in seeing the medal presented to him, so here it is, I hope you find it interesting.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors I remember a lot of names on these list, still can’t remember who was in the photo though.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@S1Mullen @StRochsJuniors Your spot on Stephen, Big Ronnie was indeed a Roch legend.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@S1Mullen @StRochsJuniors Indeed I am, JP is my cousin.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors Big Ronnie McDonald, another wonderful man and a big friend to my father was also pivotal to the club.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors Approximately 10 years after my father quit, Peter Carragher, who was a gentleman, managed to persuade him back and they were relatively successful, he managed to get the finance to build the social club and also to turf the pitch which had been black ash since its conception.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors I’ve just saw your post on them winning the Kirkwood Shield, what a job, these are great memories from my childhood, thanks again.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors I’m sure we won the Kirkwood Shield during my fathers time, I have memory of holding it.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors It’s much appreciated the effort you put into researching this stuff, it really is greatly appreciated.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors Another name 9 remember was Tommy Duncan, a cracking guy who became a taxi driver in Glasgow.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors Somewhere I have a photo of Ramsay Brown with my father signing for Hamilton, I also have one with one of the players, I can’t remember whom, with my father and Jimmy McGrory, the player was signing for Celtic.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors That is a fantastic photo, really great to see it, I knew big Pat Denise well.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@StRochsJuniors @RankinStevie I was five at the time but not a bad player.

[Lord Baltimore @slinkysurfer]

@cyborgTR808 @Candy06003540 @StRochsJuniors That is fabulous info, I wasn’t aware of that, thanks.
